The 3D Printed Majlis proposes a modular majlis, the reception space of the Emirati home, designed for concrete 3D printing and for the way families live today. Often built as an annex, the majlis is where guests are received, apart from the family's private quarters. MEAN* proposes three options for households to choose from.

The Capsule Pod would be built from concrete rings printed flat on site and lifted into place, leaving the interior free of columns. Fluid Space is a curved, continuous enclosure printed in two parts, walls and roof. Folded Walls uses trapezoidal walls printed on site that meet at glazed gaps.
