Sustainability & Reuse
‍

The 3D printing used to make the panels produced less material waste, used less energy and reduced inventory waste compared with traditional methods. It also allowed the panels to be printed in thick extrusions of 100% recycled plastic that is 100% recyclable, giving the kiosk a smaller carbon footprint.

The structure is designed as a kit of parts that can be taken down, shipped and put up again in other cities.

‍Pattern And Light
‍

Its patterns filter daylight, and at night the lit kiosk glows like a lantern. Its layered, textured panels are meant to be touched. The swirling H tessellation that makes up the panels’ pattern is drawn from prints found on Hermès objects.
